Michael Gingles – Principal

Professional with corporate and entrepreneurial experience in the mining industry gained over 30 years working in Australia, United Kingdom, Chile, and the USA. Credited with leading corporate transactions that resulted in the development of over 30 million ounces of gold reserves (Pueblo Viejo, Turquoise Ridge).

Co-founded and listed Fortune Valley Resources (FVX-V) through an IPO on the Toronto Venture Exchange before successfully executing an exit strategy through a merger with Orosur Mining (2006-2010). Held executive and management positions during an 11 year career with Placer Dome (1995-2006), including EVP Corporate and Business Development for Placer Dome Americas (2001-2006) and Manager Strategic Planning at Zaldivar copper mine (1995-1998). Prior to 1995, worked for Outokumpu Metals & Resources as a Financial Analyst (1991-1995) and Gold Mines of Kalgoorlie as a Project Geologist (1987-1990). Director of Americas Tailings Inc. (www.americastailings.com). Recognized as a Qualified Professional (QP) member of the Metallurgical & Mining Society of America (MMSA) with special expertise in Mineral Valuation, Finance. Holds a BSc. in Geology from King’s College (1984), an MSc. in Mineral Exploration from the Royal School of Mines (1985) and an MBA from Imperial College Business School (1991) in London.
